"I loved this hotel so much, that I cancelled my accommodation elsewhere and returned to this hotel only a week after I checked out - it was, by far, the highlight of my 28-day road trip through Italy, France and Switzerland. The beautiful rooms, breathtaking views from the balcony, and the peace and quiet in the charming village of Beatenberg, will compel you to come back, again and again. What makes this hotel stand out from the rest is the kind and attentive staff - I have never experienced quite such a feeling of "being at home" in any of the hotels I have stayed in before - this hotel is very special. I was fortunate to receive a room upgrade (room with balcony) on both occasions, and was permitted a very late check-out so that I could spend some more time relaxing in my room. I enjoyed a delicious meal in the restaurant on New Year's Eve and, upon my return to the hotel a week later, the kind and very hospitable owner offered me dinner on the house, which was again absolutely delicious - every single dish was so tasty. The friendly chef went out of his way to ensure that the guests' dietary requirements could be accommodated. The warmth and kindness that I experienced from the lovely manager (Annette), the owner, the gentleman at reception, the chef, and the cleaning lady, made my stay just so much more enjoyable and made me feel as though I was part of the big happy family at Parkhotel Beatenberg. This makes such a huge difference, especially if you're a solo traveller more than 12,000 km away from home. If you're not 100% sure which accommodation to book, don't even hesitate - book this hotel without a doubt, you won't regret it!"
